Privacy Policy

The privacy of your information is important to DonorPath, Inc. (“DonorPath,” “us,”“we,” or “our”). Accordingly, DonorPath has developed this privacy notice (the “Privacy Notice”) in order to describe our policies on the collection, use, and disclosure of the information provided to or obtained by DonorPath on account of your access to or use of the DonorPath website and platform ( and, collectively, the “Site”). Each time you access or use the Site, you acknowledge andconsent to our collection,use, and disclosure of such information as described in this Privacy Notice.


1. User Information

We may collect and store information, including personal or organizational information, which you, in your discretion, provide to us via email, web-based form, or other entry you make on the Site, including, without limitation, your first and last name, organization’s name, title within organization, industry type, annual operating budget of organization, mailing address, telephone number, fax number, and email address (collectively, “User Information”). Such User Information may be used by us to assist in providing information to you/your organization, in responding to your/your organization’s inquiries, for purposes of contacting you/your organization, as well as for our own internal purposes. Furthermore, by providing User Information you are granting us permission to contact you or your organization, and to send you/your organization promotional or other marketing information, about DonorPath and its products, services, and other offerings.

2. Log Information

In addition to User Information, DonorPath may also collect technical and statistical information from and about you in the course of your access to and use of the Site, including, without limitation, information about your location, your browser type, your IP address, your requested URL, your referring URL, your browser language, the pages you view, search query information, the date and time of your access to or use of the Site, and information obtained from “Cookies” (collectively, “Log Information”). “Cookies” is a term used to describe certain technology, including, without limitation, cookies, web beacons, web bugs, local shared objects, and similar technology, which may have unique identifiers and may reside, among other places, on your computer, in emails we send you, and on the pages associated with the Site or portions thereof. Cookies may transmit information about you and your access to and use of the Site, such as browser type, search preferences, data relating to advertisements that have been displayed to you or that you have clicked on, and the date and time of your access to and use of the Site. Cookies may be transferred to your computer by DonorPath or otherwise. Some Cookies are deleted from your computer when you close your browser, while others remain on your hard drive for an extended period of time. You may be able to modify your browser preference to accept all Cookies, be notified when a Cookie is set, or to reject all Cookies. If you choose not to accept Cookies, you may not be able to access or use certain functions of the Site. DonorPath may use Log Information to, among other uses: (i)analyze and track user behavior (including your behavior),(ii) personalize your experience with the Site, (iii)associate Log Information with other information a bout you,(iv) provide or enable certain functionalities or features of the Site, (v) better understand how you interact with the Site, (vi) improve the quality of the Site,(vii) monitor aggregate usage of the Site by Site visitors, (viii) keep records, (ix)display certain advertising to you or other users, and (x) for other internal purposes. The use of third party Cookies is not covered by this Privacy Notice. DonorPath does not have access to or control over third party Cookies.

3. Aggregated Information

DonorPath may cull certain data from with in the set of User Information and Log Information which DonorPath has been provided with, obtained, or collected (collectively, “Aggregated Information”). DonorPath may use Aggregated Information for purposes related to the Site and the services offered or provided on, through, or in connection with the Site. DonorPath may share Aggregated Information with third parties for industry analysis, demographic profiling, and other purposes, only after such Aggregated Information has been stripped of any information that would personally identify you.


We do not disclose User Information, Log Information, or Aggregated Information to third parties, except as otherwise provided for in the terms of this Privacy Notice or when one or more of the following conditions are true:

  • DonorPath has your permission to make the disclosure;
  • the disclosure is permitted by law or mandatory professional standards;
  • the disclosure is reasonably related to a merger involving DonorPath, an acquisition of DonorPath by another company, or a sale or disposition of all or a portion of DonorPath’s business or assets;
  • the personal information to be disclosed is publicly available;
  • the party to whom the disclosure is made controls, is controlled by, or is under common control with DonorPath;
  • the party to whom the disclosure is made is employed or hired by DonorPath as an employee or an independent contractor; or
  • the disclosure is reasonably necessary for the establishment or maintenance of legal claims.

Notwithstanding the foregoing, DonorPath may disclose such information if it believes, in its sole discretion, that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to: (i) take action regarding suspected illegal activities; (ii) enforce or apply the terms and conditions of DonorPath’s Terms of Service, Master Subscription Agreement, or Independent Contractor Services Agreement; (iii) comply with legal process or other government inquiry, such as a warrant, subpoena, statute, judicial proceeding, or other legal process served upon DonorPath; or (iv) protect DonorPath’s rights, reputation, and property, or that of DonorPath’s users, affiliates, or the public.


While we certainly appreciate your interest in the DonorPath fundraising platform, access to or use of the Site does not guarantee and should not imply access to or use of DonorPath’s fundraising platform. Your use of DonorPath’s fundraising platform will only occur after DonorPath assents to such use and you agree to the terms of DonorPath’s Terms of Service and Master Subscription Agreement for DonorPath’s fundraising platform.


The Site may contain links to sites other than those websites owned or operated by DonorPath.Those websites may have their own privacy policy, or no privacy policy at all. DonorPath is in no way responsible for those websites, and DonorPath provides such links solely for the convenience of platform users. Such links may be to advertisers, content providers, or other parties. These websites may collect information and use it in ways inconsistent with this Privacy Notice. DonorPath encourages you to review the privacy policies and terms of use associated with any third-party websites or services before providing them with any of your personal or organizational information. DonorPath does not control the content that appears on third-party websites, and DonorPath takes no responsibility for their content, nor should it be implied that DonorPath endorses or otherwise recommends such websites or any of the products, services, or other offerings made on or through such websites.


You may provide testimonials, comments, or reviews in connection with your access to or use of the Site (collectively, “Testimonials”). These Testimonials may contain User Information and personally identifiable information. Notwithstanding the other provisions of this Privacy Notice, you acknowledge that any Testimonials you provide are meant for public consumption, and consent to DonorPath displaying Testimonials on the Site and within its advertisements, marketing materials, and promotions, and to further distribute Testimonials to a wider audience through third-party sites and services. Please be aware that Testimonials may be read, collected, or used by others. DonorPath is not responsible for any User Information, or personally identifiable information, you provide as part of Testimonials. If you wish to have a Testimonial changed or removed, you may request the same in writing to DonorPath.


DonorPath follows generally accepted industry standards to protect User Information, both during transmission and once DonorPath receives it. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or via mobile device, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. Therefore, while DonorPath strives to use commercially acceptable means to protect User Information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.


DonorPath is committed to protecting the privacy needs of children, and we encourage parents and guardians to take an active role in their children’s online activities and interests. The Site is intended for general audiences and is not directed to children less than 13 years of age. DonorPath does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information without parental consent, please contact us as provided below. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information without parental consent, we will take steps to remove such information.


In the event DonorPath goes through a business transition, such as a merger, acquisition by another company, or a sale of all or a portion of its assets, User Information, Log Information, and Aggregated Information might be among the assets transferred.


DonorPath may modify this Privacy Notice to reflect changes to its privacy practices. The most current version of the Privacy Notice will govern DonorPath’s collection, use, and disclosure of the information provided to or obtained by DonorPath on account of your access to or use of the Site. If DonorPath makes any material modification to this Privacy Notice, it will notify users by means of a notice on the Site prior to such modification becoming effective. Your continued or subsequent access to or use of the Site after DonorPath makes such a notification signifies your acknowledgement of and consent to the modified Privacy Notice. DonorPath encourages all users to periodically review this Privacy Notice for the latest information on DonorPath’s privacy practices.
